Join DFN and PACE for a conversation on opportunities for civic leadership in mitigating electoral crises.
The November 2020 election is rife with scenarios that could result in a crisis, ranging from the losing candidate refusing to concede to communities breaking out in physical violence. Funders have numerous options for demonstrating civic leadership leading up to and immediately following the election, and in the process, ensuring public safety and protecting democratic values and norms. PACE and DFN are hosting a conversation with their members to identify opportunities for civic leadership in mitigating electoral crises. The conversation will encourage funders to consider how they will help uphold the integrity of the election, prevent the fracturing of their communities, and support the planning of other community actors, including faith-based organizations, nonprofits, media, and local government leaders.
